Whether he's fighting "The Incredible Edible Egg" or the "Got Milk Gang" he's always nearby protecting himself and others from anaphylaxis.

Luke was diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies in 2011 when he was just six months old. He had his first anaphylactic shock at the age of nine months old when he accidentally ingested just one drop of milk. That day forever changed my life. Even after I gave him his epinephrine shot I watched him struggle to breathe. I cried and rocked his weak body as I waited for an ambulance to arrive.
We have come a long way since then. Recently, we have been working with one of the top allergists in the country to "desensitize" him from his allergies. So far, so good. Each day we make a small step toward outgrowing his food allergies.
I have been a member of the Kids With Food Allergies (KFA) Foundation for three years. The forums they host on the website helped me get through the early stages of becoming a food allergy parent. The volunteers are fabulous and truly care about each individual that logs in to the site.
It is my wish to give back to the organization that has given myself (and so many others) a safe, educational, and fun place to grow in this journey. In September we will participate in the annual food allergy walk near Philadelphia. Please donate with me and help cheer on Luke while he walks to support KFA.
