Cameron's Fun-raising for Kids with Food Allergies

Cameron was diagnosed with multiple, severe food allergies when he was six months old. He has had 4 anaphylactic, or life-threatening, reactions since infancy. Life-saving epinephrine fortunately prevented the worst from happening each time. Needless to say, his diagnosis changed our lives becuase we have all had to significantly adapt our lifestyle to keep him, and his little brother who also has multiple food allergies, safe. It was no easy task because allergens are very sneaky! They lurk in everything from food, to common personal hygeine products (including soap and toothpaste!), and even school craft materials (like Play-doh and tempera paint!). Despite having to constantly balance safety and simply being a child who likes to make friends and have a sense of belonging, Cameron somehow maintains a positive and mature attitude for someone of his young age. He continues to make us proud by learning how to advocate for himself and looking out for friends who also have allergies. He is an incredibly smart, fun-loving, compassionate, and happy boy who deserves to enjoy all the magic that childhood has to offer. Kids with Food Allergies helps children like Cameron lead safe and healthy lives through education, research, advocacy, and support. We are sincerely grateful for the kindness of friends support us when we need encouragement. As a way to "pay it forward," we hope to do our small part by fundraising this year to support KWFA's mission. Thank you for helping us reach our goal!
